Carol Ogden – Consultant for English Language Program

Carol Ogden has extensive experience in English language program administration. As an administrative director of the Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) at the University of North Texas, one of the largest campus-based English language programs in the US, she was responsible for developing policies, procedures, and managing the language program.

Ogden represented IELI as the on-site administrator for training graduate students at a major university system in Thailand. She also served as a program director of an extensive English academic program for undergraduates at a Turkish university. As a co-director, she oversaw Turkish and American teachers and conducted teachers’ evaluation and program assessment in collaboration with Turkish counterparts.

Before serving as an administrator, she was a faculty member, teaching all levels of the curriculum for over ten years. It includes teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to employees at a Japanese company and teaching academic English (EAP) to undergraduate and graduate students in China, Japan, and Thailand.

She actively participated and presented papers in professional meetings, including the English USA, TESOL, and NAFSA conferences.
