Dr. Saleha Suleman – President and Founder
Dr. Saleha Suleman is the founder and president of ENHANCE International Education (EIE)-LLC-Texas, USA. She has over 25 years of experience leading international affairs centers at medium to large institutions of higher education in the United States.
She has served as the Assistant Vice President for International Initiatives at Towson University, Assistant Vice Provost of International affairs at the University of North Texas, and Director of International Programs & Services at the University of Central Florida, Michigan Technological University, and Metropolitan State University.
In these roles, she demonstrated leadership and administrative expertise in the development and implementation of international strategic plan, recruitment strategies and enrollment plans, and international student services centers.
She has visited over 25 countries to build international partnerships with higher education institutions for graduate students’ recruitment, academic articulations, student and faculty exchanges, and capacity-building projects in Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Dr. Suleman has 15 years of experience as a faculty at the University of Minnesota, Metropolitan State University, Augsburg College, and the University of Central Florida. At these institutions, she taught courses including “intercultural communications, women in world cultures, representation of gender, race, and class in prime-time TV, and gender and communication.
She also has advanced expertise and experience in the development and implementation of cultural competency training and internationalization of the curriculum.
At several institutions of higher education in the United States, she collaborated with faculty and staff to develop federal and international grant proposals focusing on partnership with institutions of higher education and agencies abroad for professional development, inter-cultural understanding, and establishing the English Language Programs.
In the field of International Education, Dr. Suleman demonstrated her advanced leadership skills as the founder and founding president of a state consortium: Maryland International Education Consortium (MIEC). In these initiatives, she actively engaged international education leaders, state government officials, and diaspora communities to support global initiatives.
She also served as the treasurer of Study Texas, an active member of the Florida International Education Consortium (FIEC), Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC), and Education for Global Learning (EGL)-Minnesota.
